About Brantley Gilbert
An accident stirred Brantley Gilbert so much that he picked up the guitar. Born in 1985 in Jefferson, Georgia, Gilbert never imagined himself pursuing a career in music. But, to his surprise the man not only evolved as a famous singer but a fabulous songsmith and guitarist as well. Even though his upbringing took place listening rock numbers and gigs like REM put up close by, his heart pain, personal anecdotes and feelings always inclined him towards the nation.
At a tender age of nineteen, a deadly car accident literally shoved the artist out of the window. Gilbert’s truck spiraled many times and bumped a tree, nearly killing him. And, this was after weeks of soul-searching the artist penned down amazing stuff like “Indiana’s Angel” & “Prodigal Son”.
The music artist started by putting up performances one after the other, and opened for various other country performers, in and around southeast. He was so established that in 2006, Gilbert was prepared to take everyone by rage with his first release “Modern Day Prodigal Son”. However, the album was not launched until mid 2009 when he contracted with Average Joe’s Entertainment. In no less than a year, he started earning huge fame and began knocking out songs for famous artists including Jason Aldean & Colt Ford.
In march 2010, his second big release—Half way to Heaven came out with the elite Average Joe and in between he also shook hands with a segment of Big Machine Records—Valory Music Group. The unbaked effort saw its launch in mid 2011 that too in special edition. Not only did it feature remix versions of the chartbusters but also boasted many new numbers which were not a part of the real version.
“Country Must Be Country Wide” became the first shanty from the special edition which soon grabbed number one position on the U.S Chart—a huge sign of his glowing future. In December 2011, was released his second melody “You Don’t Know Her Like I do” which quickly made it to 52nd rank on Billboard Song Chart in US and climbed all the way to 3rd rank in no time.
Recently nominated for the first-ever Renegade Award at the world-renowned iHeart Media Music Awards, Gilbert is counted amongst artists who outdid while maintaining their integrity and honesty. Having racked up top five songs, outstanding album sales, several award show nominations including CMA, ACA, CMT, ACM and ACC, this virtuoso has also snatched the fame of “New Male Vocalist of the Year” at 2013 ACM Awards.
Besides “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do” and “Country Must Be Country Wide”, his single “Kick It In The Sticks” also became a grand slam.
Acclaimed as an able songsmith, he has also written a few top numbers including “My Kinda Party” and “Dirt Road Anthem”.
Having closed the year 2014 with the Let it Ride Tour, he surprised everyone with a breathtaking opening in 2015 during Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.
