About Kenny Chesney
Born on March 26, 1968 in Tennessee, Kenny Chesney scored a gold with his 1996 release Me and You, a platinum with 1997 collection I will Stand and double platinum with 1999 Everywhere We Go. By the year 2000, the virtuoso was a real superstar who was applauded by myriad of US music enthusiasts. His biggest release includes Greatest Hits in 2001. The year 2008 saw him touring heavily and he also obtained seven CMA Awards nominations.
In East Tennessee, the singer teamed up with a college ensemble and began penning down songs and singing at local restaurants. The laborious vocalist ultimately released an album to sell at his musicales after which he moved to Nashville to become a prolific musician.
After completing and selling his recordings with leading labels Opryland Music Group and Capricorn Records, the singer associated with BNA Records.
His 2001 album was followed by 2002 work No Shoes, No Shirt, No Problem influenced by rock music pattern. After successfully completing a music tour in 2003, he caught limelight with Entertainer of The Year Award that was conferred upon him by the Country Music Association in 2004.
His two new releases: The Radio and The Radio in 2005 and Be As You Are: Songs From an Old Blue Chair in the same year were his biggest time hits and also snatched top rankings in leading music charts.
With a concert collection Live: Live Those Songs Again in 2006, he quickly made a place in music charts, and several pop collections once again. He was also awarded with Entertainer of the Year two years in a row—2006 and 2007.
For Chesney’s upcoming album, he assisted in producing Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates (2007) that boasted of several smash hits. The introverted album “Don’t Blink” ranked high on US music charts, the same way as “Better As a Memory” and “Never Wanted Nothing More” did.
Additionally, the album featured two famous melodies—“Shiftwork” with singer George Strait and “Every Other Weekend” with wizard Reba McEntire. It was in the same year, he was honored with Musical Event of The Year Award by CMA for his release “Find Out Who Your Friends Are” with Tim McGraw and Tracy Lawrence.
In 2008, the singer toured extensively to support Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates that was a great success. The same year, Chesney received a nomination for whopping seven CMA categories.
The following year he also released Lucky Old Sun whose one song, “Everybody Wants to Go Heaven” grabbed a number one spot on US music charts. The same year in November, the musician was awarded with the 4th Entertainer of the Year by renowned Country Music Association. The victory associated the singer with leading Garth Books for majority wins he scored at the CMA awards.
Needless to say, the outstanding singer and songwriter continues to delight his fans with singles and releases that instantly make it to country charts. His 2010 collection Hemingway Whiskey showcased two top-selling chartbusters—“Somewhere with You” and “The Boys of Fall”.
